Xcept ("the app") is published by Pleroma Studio LLC. The app helps delivery drivers evaluate offers and track earnings. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising SDKs, and no third-party trackers. The sections below list the few things the app sends off your device and why.
We do not collect names, emails, device IDs, or precise location. The app has no account system and nothing you enter is tied to your identity. Three features send limited, purpose-specific data off-device, described below; everything else (settings, shift/order history, earnings) stays local.
The app uses your device's location to show your position on the in-app map and to count miles driven during a shift. While a shift is active, the app runs a foreground service (with a persistent notification) so mileage keeps counting when the screen is off or the app is in the background — that is the only time location runs in the background, and you end it by ending the shift or dismissing the app. All location processing happens on your device; your location and route are never sent to us or to any third party.
Offer screenshots are read on-device first. If on-device text recognition can't parse a screenshot, the image is sent to our server, which forwards it to Anthropic's Claude API to read the pay, mileage, and restaurant name, then discards it — we do not store screenshots. This only happens for offer screenshots you scan or share to the app.
Tapping the ✨ button on a past shift sends that shift's order history (pay, miles, restaurant, timestamps — no location track) to our server, which forwards it to Anthropic's Claude API to generate a short recap. This only happens when you tap that button.
When you rate a pickup spot in the Spots tab — a star rating, a typical wait time, or quick tags like "order ready" or "long wait" — the spot's name and your vote are sent to our server and added to an anonymous, aggregate tally shared across all drivers using the app. No name, account, device ID, or location is attached to a vote. The app also downloads these aggregate tallies for spots near you so everyone benefits from each other's ratings.
Your sessions, orders, settings, and earnings history are stored locally on your device. Uninstalling the app deletes this data. We have no copy of it and cannot recover it.
Beyond the features above, the app fetches map tiles for the in-app map, restaurant locations from OpenStreetMap, brand logos for map pins, and — on builds distributed outside Google Play — checks for app updates. None of these transmit personal information.
The app is intended for adults performing delivery work and is not directed at children under 13.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new effective date.
